Beyond The Diversity Question: The Future of Black Lit


 
The LA chapter of the Women’s National Book Association is honored to host a Black History Month panel on February 24, 2021, at 5pm PST/8pm EST. The panel discussion titled, “Beyond the Diversity Question: The Future of Black Lit,” will be hosted by Angela Shanté, our NEW Diversity Chair.

This event is free for members and non-members.

Angela Shanté is an Award-winning author, elementary education teacher, writer, and poet. Angela grew up in New York City where she fell in love with words and teaching. She received a Master’s in Elementary Education with a focus on curriculum/literacy and later went back to school to receive an MFA in Creative Writing. In addition to her writing, Angela is an education content writer/editor and curriculum consultant.
