Join us on March 31st at 6pm for the next event in our Conversations with Authors Series.

Historical Fiction has long been the modem for exploring women’s history.

In honor of Women’s History Month, chapter President Diana Giovinazzo (Author of “The Woman in Red”) will moderate a panel of amazing historical fiction authors:

Greer Mcallister ( “The Magician’s Lie,” “Girl in Disguise,” “Woman 99,” and “The Arctic Fury”)
Lauren Wilig (“Sisters,” “The Summer Country,” “The English Wife,” and more)
Weina Randel (“The Moon in the Palace” and “The Empress of Bright Moon”)

But wait, there’s more!  WNBA-LA calls all Kid Lit readers and writers to gather (virtually) for the Kid Lit Virtual Book Club Kickoff on April 3rd at 12pm.

Each month, the Kid Lit Committee will select one book to read for each club (Young and Teen) at the beginning of the month. At the end of the month, we will meet to discuss themes, craft, and other topics specific to kid lit.

Don’t miss it!  For more information, visit the Facebook event here.

Just Days Away, So Cal Readers!

Be sure to join us this Tuesday for the first meeting of our book club, So Cal Readers, lead by the amazing book blogger and chapter Vice-president,  Jennifer Holmes.

September’s book of the month is “The Woman in Red” by Diana Giovinazzo.

Each month we will be reading a book by a local author and spotlighting their favorite indie bookstore.

Remember, So Cal Readers is only open to current WNBA-LA members, so join if you haven’t yet, and get ready to talk books!
