Celebrating African American Authors This February
February is a time to honor the rich contributions of African American authors and their powerful stories that have shaped literature and inspired readers around the world. We encourage our members to celebrate Black History Month by exploring books by Black authors—both past and present. Whether it’s poetry, fiction, or nonfiction, these works offer profound insights and perspectives that deserve to be celebrated and shared.
Additionally, we invite you to join us at the Black History Month event hosted by NEW-WBC on February 13th. This event will feature a dynamic panel discussion on Doing Business with the Government and provide an opportunity to engage with the community, network, and celebrate together.

TURNING THE PAGE: WNBA-LA’s February Book Club
We are thrilled to announce that the author of Third Class Relics, Elizabeth Genovise, will join us on Thursday, February 22, 2025, for a Zoom roundtable discussion!
Adding to the excitement, the publisher, TRP: The University Press of SHSU, will also participate, offering unique insights into the book and the creative process.
